The name of this place alone comes from a story of sorrow - back in the days when the wedding traditions were more prominent, it is said that four wedding carriage bearers were carrying a bride who was on the way to get married. But as the word goes, because of the wet rocks they were treading over, one of them slipped and fell, sending the carriage with the bride in it down the waterfall where she promptly drowned.
Nowadays, it is claimed that 'shui gui' or, the water ghosts haunt the area waiting for a child to fall in so they can possess its body.
